Discovering Favorite Cabin

Located at Surya Sen Street, the lane off College Street. This unnotified cabin is one of Calcutta's oldest tea stall, quenching Bengali's thirst for tea for more than 95 years. 

This tea stall have no outer beauty, this tea and toast cabin continues to be tea drinkers's favorite haunt for adda. And this tradition goes here every mornings and evenings. People from different walks of life say it be college bunkers, morning walkers, men of literature, sports, politics and even photographers, who finds nice snaps in this cabin.Everybody joins adda here with tea complimented with toast, cigarettes and bidi.

Everyday while returning from my college I enter this cabin and take the first seat to the immediate right , and order lebu cha and pan cake which is their specialty. This is a true example of an iconic heritage place for bengali.
